Ondo Monarch Declare Support For HOA Aspirant

The Olu of Igbokoda, His Royal Majesty Odidiomo Afolabi Oladimeji, Akokoniko, Larada I, yesterday declared support for Comrade Emmanuel Lebile aspiration to represent Ilaje Constituency II in Ondo State House of Assembly on the platform of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).

HRM Oladimeji made the declaration during a courtesy call on his palace at Igbokoda, administrative headquarters of Ilaje Local Government Area of the state by Comrade Lebile and his team.

The Monarch charged the Ondo state House of Assembly aspirant to be proactive, believe in himself and be ready to contribute to legislation that will better the life of his constituents when he is elected.

The Olu of Igbokoda who called on youths to stand up for what is right and shun social vices, lamented the state of underdevelopment in the area asserted, "we have been suffering, and we are still suffering".

Earlier, Comrade Lebile said he decided to run for the position to bring the needed development which he said had eluded the people despite having representatives in the assembly from the area in time past.

The ZLP aspirant popular known as the Reformer vowed to change the narrative if elected, assuring that He will only sponsor and support Bills that will "make life easy for the people".

Poor Sanitary Condition of Detention Facilities Is Torture – Barr Uwagie

Human Rights Lawyer, Barrister Leo Osa Uwagie has described the poor sanitary condition of some detention facilities in the country as form of torture to detainees. Barr Uwagie noted that, the poor sanitary condition especially that of the police force compel detainees to pay for bail to quickly leave these facilities for health reasons, which ordinarily they know is free. Election Security: Police Conducts Train Officers of Zone 5

A Two-Day Capacity Building Programme has been organised for officers and men of Zone-5 of The Nigeria Police Force, ahead of the forthcoming general elections. The training which is on Democratic Policing and Election Security Management was convened by the Police force in collaboration with Hi-Tech Security Services and Training Limited. Declaring the programme open in Benin city, AIG Zone-5, Baba Alkali Usman said the training is one in a series of lectures being lined up by the Force Headquarters to equip officers and men.
