2019: I WILL RETIRE MOMOH FROM POLITICS---- Sen ALIMIKHENA

Senate Deputy Whip and member representing Edo North Senatorial district (APC) Senator Francis Alimikhena has vowed to retire Engineer Abubakar Momoh of the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) from active politics in the 2019 Edo North Senatorial election.

The Deputy Whip of the Senate who was recently accused of non performance by Hon Momoh, a PDP Senatorial aspirant, made the vow in a statement signed by His Personal Assistant on Media and Publicity, Benjamin Atu.

In the statement dated September 27 2018 and made available to journalists, the federal lawmaker expressed confidence that an end has come to Momoh's Political career.

"We made Momoh whatever he is today and we are ready to unmarked him and retire him from active politics in the fourth coming Edo North election. "We cannot continue to give political consideration to people who cannot make gains with the trust of the people.

"Since the inception of Democracy in 1999 till date Hon. Abubakar Momoh has constantly seek for elective position without him voting for others", Senator Alimikhena said

Hon. Momoh who is the PDP candidate for Edo North 2019 election has been a councillor, Local Government Chairman, Member of the State House of Assembly and a former member representing Etsako Federal Constituency at the National Assembly and seeking an elective position as a Senator.

"How can a man be so selfish and self seeking? Afemai people have constantly voted for Hon Momoh in different political platform without any project to his credit.

The All Progressive Congress federal lawmaker added that the actions by the PDP Senatorial aspirant is a public disgrace and a display of ignorance of happenings in his environment.

"Momoh lack knowledge of the senatorial district he is struggling to represent. If Hon Momoh was on ground in Edo North he would have realize that Senator Alimikhena is the best Senator Edo North has ever produced."

The media aide Maintained that Legislating is a serious business and Senator Alimikhena has all it takes to make landmark legislation for the development of Edo North.

"Legislators make landmark legislation and critical intervention to advance and promote social economic wellbeing of their people. A legislator has the duty to bring the attention of parliament to the needs and problem of his people. It is only when challenges of the people are brought to the floor of the parliament, that the parliament will use the mechanism of resolution to express the will of parliament in favour of the people.", adding "Abubakar Momoh does not possess such capacity and it behooves on all Edo sons and daughters to reject him in the next election."

The aide therefore challenged Hon. Momoh to published his achievement in Politics since 1999 where he has served as a councillor, local Government chairman, House of Assembly member and a member of the National Assembly.

"In three Years Senator Alimikhena known as the Oracle of Development, has executed more than 200 eyemarked  projects in Edo North but in 16 years Hon. Momoh do not have any projects in the entire Etsako Constituency to his credit."
