Chairmanship Aspirant Distributes Educational Materials, Organises After-School Lessons





In fulfilment of his earlier promise, Labour Party (LP) Chairmanship aspirant for Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, Emmanuel Seyi Lebile on Monday flagged-off the after-school (summer) lessons and distribution of educational materials to some primary and secondary school students in the area.

The flag off which took place in Igbokoda, administrative headquarters of Ilaje LGA, also served as day for the commencement of the summer lessons holding from 6th August to 7th September 2018 at Christ Anglican Model College Igbokoda.

Recall the chairmanship aspirant in a Chat with The Nigerian Observer promised to hand out learning materials to students in the area, and also engage them during their holidays.

Lebile who had in different fora decried the high level of underdevelopment of Ilaje despite being an oil producing area, vowed to fast track development of the council especially the environmental and educational sector.

The LP aspirant known as "The Reformer" appealed to the people of the area for their coorporation as well as support of members of his party for the sole chairmanship ticket to bring the "needed change" to Ilaje.

Meanwhile, Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu had in February constituted the state independent electoral commission (ODIEC) in preparation for the conduct of local government polls in a yet to be announced date.

Poor Sanitary Condition of Detention Facilities Is Torture – Barr Uwagie

Human Rights Lawyer, Barrister Leo Osa Uwagie has described the poor sanitary condition of some detention facilities in the country as form of torture to detainees. Barr Uwagie noted that, the poor sanitary condition especially that of the police force compel detainees to pay for bail to quickly leave these facilities for health reasons, which ordinarily they know is free. Free Summer lessons: Parents, Students Lauds LG Chairmanship Aspirant

Igbokoda (Ondo state) - As the summer lessons organized for secondary school students in Igbokoda, administrative headquarters of Ilaje local government area of Ondo state came to a close last Friday, parents and beneficiaries has expressed appreciation to the sponsor. The After-School lessons which took place during the school holiday was put together by Comrade Emmanuel Lebile, a Chairmanship Aspirant for the council in the forthcoming local government polls in the state. A Junior Secondary School (JSS-2), Yemi Abisanbo who could not hide his joy, said he never expected to be engaged after his examination, as he usually play around with friends before the start of another academic session.
