EDOCSO, a network of civil society groups in the state which held similar rally (Season 1) before February 23 Presidential and National Assembly elections said it is their determination to see an end to the negative trend.
According to the activists, there is need to sensitize the masses on the implications of vote selling, hence the rally.
The Coordinator General of EDOCSO, Leftist Omobude Agho had during a stopover urged electorate not to sell their votes as it is a right and power to demand accountability from those they have elected to represent them.
Leftist Agho who led other members of the network on the rally enjoined them to come out enmass to vote candidates of their choice, and not to allow themselves to be used by desperate politicians to cause violence before, during and after the polls.
However, while there will be no governorship elections in Edo, and six other states — Bayelsa, Ondo, Osun, Ekiti, Kogi and Anambra tomorrow, there will be state assembly polls Nationwide and supplementary National Assembly polls in 14 states.
